Eye e City encourages the documentation of social changes, recorded through photographs on the last day of the year, to form the collective memories of ordinary individuals.
It started as an event initiated by the Penang Nanyang Folk Culture in 1999. In 2002, Singapore and five other Malaysian towns (Taiping, Malacca, Johor Bahru, Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur) joined in.
Eye e City hopes to collate photographs of professionals, amateurs and novices and showcase them at an exhibition and possibly a publication. This is only possible with the support of sponsors and general public.
How long will this event be sustained ??? You involvement is the answer.
